In this project, TraceSpace developed various designs for the redesign of a fallow gravel parking lot at Hellersdorf’s Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart School. Initiated and supervised by the socially engaged association “Kids & Co.”, a design was selected through a participation process of the school, which was completed in spring 2014.
The ceremonial opening of the publicly accessible movement space took place on May 16, 2014 and was a complete success for all involved. Interested neighbors, committed social workers and traceurs from all over Berlin gave objective and positive feedback on the project implementation.
Since the opening, professional trainings under ParkourONE head coaches have also taken place here. Projects involving the local community are being planned.
